Vasai Fraud Case: Repair Agency Owner Absconds With 53 Transformers Worth ₹40 Lakh

Palghar: A repair agency owner has absconded with 53 transformers, which were entrusted to him for repairs by the Mahavitaran office in Navghar, Vasai East. The transformers are valued at approximately Rs 40 lakh. Based on a complaint from a Mahavitaran official, a case of fraud has been registered against the accused at Manikpur police station.

About The Case

Akash More, owner of Payal Electronic Agency, was given 53 transformers by the Vasai division of Mahavitaran Company on November 22, 2023, for repair work. When Mahavitaran officials attempted to contact More after an extended period, they found his phone switched off. A subsequent visit to his residence in Manor revealed he was missing.

Further investigation revealed that Payal Electronic Agency did not exist at the address provided.

Despite numerous efforts by Mahavitaran employees and officials to locate him, More remains missing. As a result, Officer Anant Ramesh Jhole has filed a fraud case against him at the Manikpur police station.
