A couple died by suicide after hanging themselves from a tree in Ambernath on Friday morning. The incident took place in Kushivli village in Ambernath Taluka. The deceased have been identified as Manisha Patil and Vivek Patil, both residents of Kalyan.
The police were alerted by locals who spotted the two individuals hanging from a tree using nylon ropes.
The bodies were removed from the tree, and an ambulance was called to take them to Central Hospital in Ulhasnagar for medical procedures. During the panchnama, the police noted that a motorcycle was parked nearby.
