Thane News: Newborn Baby Found Near Pile Of Burning Garbage In Bhiwandi; Case Registered

Thane: In a disturbing incident, the body of a newborn baby was found near a burning pile of garbage in Barodi village, located in the Bhiwandi area of Thane district. The body of the newborn baby was discovered by the residents around 9 am on Sunday, officials from the Narpoli police station confirmed on Monday.

According to the official, the police were alerted immediately after the body was spotted. A team quickly reached the scene and the body was sent to a government hospital for post-mortem, according to PTI report.

The police have registered a case against unidentified persons under section 94 (concealment of birth by secret disposal of dead body) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Authorities have stated that further details will be revealed as the investigation progresses.

6-Year-Old Boy Killed, 2 Injured As Speeding Truck Hits Bike In Titwala

A six-year-old boy lost his life and two others were injured after a truck accident in Titwala on Saturday evening. The child, identified as Jignesh Nikesh Raut, was riding on a motorcycle with his grandfather, Vijay Patil (58), and his mother, Poonam Raut.

The accident occurred around 6:30 PM near Raya village in Khadavli, under the Titwala police station limits. The family was traveling from Karadavali village towards Titwala when a truck coming from the opposite direction collided with their motorcycle.

The impact threw all three off the bike, and sadly, the boy came under the rear wheel of the truck. Locals quickly rushed to help, informed the police, and took the injured to a nearby hospital. Jignesh was declared dead on arrival, while his grandfather and mother were treated and later discharged.
