Thane News: Iron Rod From Metro Site Pierces Through Moving Car's Roof At Teen Haath Naka; No Injuries Reported
The driver was on his way to Kolshet from Bhandup with three passengers in the car when the iron rod slipped from the hands of a labourer working on the underconstruction Metro pillar.

Thane: A car driver Jitendra Yadav had a narrow escape when an iron rod fell on a moving car beneath an under construction Metro pillar near Bharat Petrol Pump at Teen Hath Naka in Thane today around noon. The driver was on his way to Kolshet from Bhandup with three passengers in the car when the iron rod slipped from the hands of a labourer working on the underconstruction Metro pillar. The iron rod slipped from his hands and pierced the roof of the car above the driver's seat, missing the driver by inches.
No casualties were reported.
"We received information at the Disaster Management Cell Room at around 12:27 pm about the iron rod falling on a car. The car driver named Jitendra Yadav was driving from Bhandup to Kolshet when the incident occurred. An iron rod slipped from the hands of a worker on the bridge, near Bharat Petrol Pump at Teen Hath Naka in Thane," an official from the Regional Disaster Management Cell, Thane said.
"Soon after receiving the information the disaster management cell personnel along with the traffic department staff and Wagle Estate police station personnel reached the spot. The iron rod was pulled out from the car with the help of the police.no casualties were reported from the incident spot."
Visuals of the incident show the rod piercing through the car's roof above the driver's seat.
