Thane: Man Booked For Objectionable Remarks On Maha Kumbh Bath And Hindu Religion In Bhiwandi; Case Registered
The Nizampura police booked a man for allegedly making a derogatory remark about the Kumbh bath. The accused has been identified as Majid Mansuri, a resident of Bhiwandi. A complaint was filed by Vaibhav Ashok Mahadik, a leader from Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal in Bhiwandi on January 28.

Thane: The Nizampura police booked a man for allegedly making a derogatory remark about the Kumbh bath. The accused has been identified as Majid Mansuri, a resident of Bhiwandi. A complaint was filed by Vaibhav Ashok Mahadik, a leader from Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal in Bhiwandi on January 28.
According to the FIR, the complainant's friend Gautam Jaiswal went to the Kumbh on January 25. On January 28, Jaiswal uploaded a video on WhatsApp status on his mobile number in which he, along with friends, was shipping on the Sangam in Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, as mentioned in the tagline. Jaiswal's other friend Majid Mansuri saw it and replied to it. He made objectionable remarks about the Kumbh bath and Hindu religion. Following this, Jaiswal contacted Vishwa Hindu Parishad workers about it.
The complainant alongwith office bearers approached the police station and filed an FIR against him under sections 196(1), 299 of Bharitya Nyay Sanhita.
Vishwas Dagale, police inspector from Nizampura Police Station, said, "We have registered a case as the complainant approached us. We have formed a team to nab the accused. So far, the accused is still at large."
