Thane Dahi Handi: 17 Govindas, Including 7 Minors, Injured During Celebrations

Seventeen Govindas, including seven minors aged between 5 and 17, sustained injuries during the Dahi Handi celebrations in Thane.

At Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital in Kalwa, the injured included Chandan Jaiswar (23) with a waist injury, Akshay Sharma (26) with a right-hand injury, Ajay Nargade (15) with a left-hand injury, Sarvesh Chavan (27) with chest injuries, Shankar Patil (27) with a left leg injury, Sahil Bhoir (19) with a waist injury, and Anup Yadav (36) with a back injury.

At Civil Hospital in Thane, 11-year-old Siddhu Suhas Munda was admitted with chest injuries.

The remaining injured were discharged after receiving primary treatment, officials said.
