Thane Crime: 2 Bike-Borne Assailants Open Fire Outside Builder's Residence In Ambernath; No Injuries Reported
Two unidentified assailants, who were on a bike, opened fire outside a famous builder and businessman’s house in Ambernath on Monday afternoon. No injuries or any untoward incidents were reported in this case. The family of the Panveklar was safe.

Thane: Two unidentified assailants, who were on a bike, opened fire outside a famous builder and businessman’s house in Ambernath on Monday afternoon. No injuries or any untoward incidents were reported in this case. The family of the Panveklar was safe.
The incident took place at Sitai Sadan near Hutatma Chowk in Ambernath at 2:30 PM when the two assailants arrived on the bike in front of the bungalow of builder Vishwanath Panveklar, and later one of them (riding pillion) took out a revolver and fired two rounds at his residence before immediately fleeing the scene.
The police said that Vishwanath Panveklar resides on the first floor and has an office situated on the ground floor. A CCTV footage that went viral on social media shows two assailants arriving on a bike in front of Panveklar's house. One of the assailants got off the motorcycle for a second, then sat back down, took out a revolver, and fired it towards Panveklar's residence, firing two rounds. Meanwhile, two women who had gotten out of an auto rickshaw stood behind their motorcycle, appearing frightened.
Following this firing incident, the Shivaji Nagar Police and DCP Sachin Gore rushed to the spot and began the investigation. The police collected two bullets from the spot and confiscated them. An FIR has been registered against them under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Sachin Gore, DCP of Ulhasnagar Division, said, "We formed six teams, including two from the crime branch, to investigate the matter. One team was working on the CCTV footage and another was working on technical intelligence and alerting local informers. So far, during the preliminary investigation, no ransom call or threats from anyone have been ruled out. Moreover, no enmity has been ruled out. The cause of the firing is yet to be determined. Further investigation is ongoing."
