Tata Power Mumbai Achieves 40% Clean Energy Milestone In FY 2024-25, Reinforcing Green Leadership
Tata Power Mumbai Distribution supplied approximately 40% of its total power from clean energy sources during the financial year 2024–25. This includes 1,665 million units (MUs) of renewable energy and 724 MUs of hydroelectric power, totaling 2,389 MUs of clean energy delivered to consumers.

Mumbai: Tata Power Mumbai Distribution supplied approximately 40% of its total power from clean energy sources during the financial year 2024–25. This includes 1,665 million units (MUs) of renewable energy and 724 MUs of hydroelectric power, totaling 2,389 MUs of clean energy delivered to consumers.
"The achievement surpasses the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission’s (MERC) mandated renewable power purchase obligation of 29.91% for financial year 2024--2025 setting a new benchmark in clean power adoption among urban utilities" stated the statement issued by Tata Power company on Tuesday.
"This milestone reflects Tata Power’s continued commitment to delivering reliable, sustainable, and climate-friendly power to India’s financial capital. As Mumbai moves towards a low-carbon future, Tata Power remains at the forefront—enabling cleaner choices and shaping a resilient energy ecosystem for the city" further read the statement.
