Panvel Municipal Corporation, Rotary Club Launch Tree Plantation Drive In Kharghar To Boost Green Cover
In a bid to promote environmental conservation, the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC), in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Navi Mumbai Sunrise, conducted a tree plantation drive on July 14 along the roadside in Sector 7, Kharghar.

Panvel: In a bid to promote environmental conservation, the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC), in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Navi Mumbai Sunrise, conducted a tree plantation drive on July 14 along the roadside in Sector 7, Kharghar.
The initiative, undertaken by PMC's Garden Department, is part of an ongoing green campaign . As part of the campaign, free saplings are also being distributed to citizens to encourage wider participation in greening efforts.
During Monday’s drive, 25 trees of native species such as Karanj and Kadamb were planted along the roadside. The corporation has called on citizens to join hands in making Panvel greener and more sustainable through similar community-driven efforts.
