The Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Thursday hit out at MNS chief Raj Thackeray saying that nobody should use language of ultimatum as it is not a dictatorship. Pawar today said that the Supreme Court’s decision on noise pollution is applicable to all places of worship in Maharashtra. ‘’Every government runs as per law and the Constitution; hence Maharashtra government will also not accept an ultimatum from anybody,’’ he warned.

He said that the government will do everything in the constitutional framework.

‘’If you want to give an ultimatum sitting inside your home to your family members, do it, we have nothing to do with it.” But if someone is making such statements publicly, then remember, governments and the country run as per laws and the Constitution. Rules are the same for all,” said Pawar.

A day after Raj Thackeray announced that his party’s protest will continue until all illegal loudspeakers were removed, Pawar issued stern warning that nobody should try to violate the law and should obey the ruling given by the court. He added that strict action will be taken if anyone tries to break the law.

He urged the administration of all the religious places to take requisite permission for the use of loudspeakers and they should follow the limit of the decibel level while using them. He said the law is the same for everybody.

Pawar said it is easy to fan people’s sentiments, but when it comes to implementation of the SC order, then all religious places will have to follow the same.
