Navi Mumbai Water Cut On April 9-10: CIDCO To Halt Hetawane Line For 24 Hours; Kharghar, Panvel, Ulwe, JNPT Among Affected Areas To Face Disruption
Water supply to Dronagiri, JNPT, Ulwe, Kharghar, Taloja, and surrounding villages along the Hetawane water supply line will be completely shut down for 24 hours starting 6 am on April 9, 6 am on April 10, due to urgent maintenance and repair work at the Hetawane Water Treatment Plant, CIDCO announced on Monday.

Navi Mumbai: Water supply to Dronagiri, JNPT, Ulwe, Kharghar, Taloja, and surrounding villages along the Hetawane water supply line will be completely shut down for 24 hours starting 6 am on April 9, 6 am on April 10, due to urgent maintenance and repair work at the Hetawane Water Treatment Plant, CIDCO announced on Monday.
Following the 24-hour shutdown, residents are advised to expect low water pressure for another 24 hours as supply resumes and stabilizes.
The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has appealed to residents in the affected areas to store sufficient water in advance and use it judiciously during the shutdown period.

“The temporary suspension of water supply is necessary to carry out emergency repair and maintenance work on the treatment plant and the main water pipeline. The work aims to ensure long-term efficiency and safety of the water distribution network,” said CIDCO spokesperson.
