Navi Mumbai: Police Seize ₹1.10 Crore Drugs, Arrest 3 African Nationals; ‘Leave India Notices’ Issued To 11 Over Expired Visas
In a major crackdown on drug trafficking and illegal residency, Navi Mumbai Police seized narcotic substances worth approximately Rs 1.10 crore and arrested three African nationals. The operation, conducted in the early hours of February 13, also led to the issuance of ‘Leave India Notices’ to 11 foreign nationals with expired visas and passports.

Navi Mumbai: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking and illegal residency, Navi Mumbai Police seized narcotic substances worth approximately Rs 1.10 crore and arrested three African nationals. The operation, conducted in the early hours of February 13, also led to the issuance of ‘Leave India Notices’ to 11 foreign nationals with expired visas and passports.
The raid, carried out at 11 locations across the city, was part of a large-scale ‘Cordon and Search Operation’ led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (Economic Offenses) Bhausaheb Dhole. A team of 125 officers from the Crime Branch and Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) were involved in the action, which resulted in the seizure of 118.48 grams of cocaine worth Rs 42.24 lakh, 100.84 grams of MD (Mephedrone) powder valued at Rs 50.42 lakh, and cash amounting to Rs 43,500.
As part of the operation, the police verified the documents of 35 African nationals. Among them, three individuals were found in possession of narcotic substances and were arrested under the NDPS Act. “A case was registered against them at Ulwe Police Station. A total of 11 African nationals whose passports and visas had expired were issued a ‘Leave India Notice’ instructing them to exit the country,” an officer from ANC said.

The operation was executed under the directives of Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe, Joint Commissioner of Police Sanjay Yenpure, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Deepak Sakore, and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Amit Kale.
