Navi Mumbai: NMMC To Hold 179 Special Voter Camps On August 8-9 Ahead Of Final Aug 17 SIR Deadline

Navi Mumbai, August 7, 2026: With the final deadline for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls extended till August 17, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) will organise 179 special voter enumeration camps across the city on August 8 and 9 to help residents submit their Enumeration Forms and avoid deletion of their names from the electoral roll.

The camps have been organised on the directions of Municipal Commissioner Dr Kailas Shinde to improve the pace of the ongoing voter verification exercise, which began on June 30. Election officials have clarified that this is the last extension for submitting Enumeration Forms.

Voters who fail to submit the forms to their respective Booth Level Officers (BLOs) by August 17 will have their names removed from the draft electoral roll and will subsequently have to apply afresh through Form 6 to regain voter registration.

Evening Camps In Airoli

In a special initiative, evening SIR camps will also be conducted from 7 pm to 10 pm in polling parts of the 150 Airoli Assembly constituency where the collection and digitisation of Enumeration Forms remain low. The move is aimed at helping working residents who are unable to visit camps during the day.

Officials have clarified that voters whose names or whose parents’ names do not appear in the 2002 electoral roll can still submit their Enumeration Forms.

They need only fill in their current details in Column 3 of the form, sign it, attach one of the documents prescribed by the Election Commission, and submit it to their respective BLO.

Current Status Of Enumeration Drive

According to the latest figures, the 150 Airoli Assembly constituency, which has 4,97,380 registered voters, has so far distributed 4,71,597 Enumeration Forms, while 2,36,001 completed forms have been submitted and digitised.

In the 151 Belapur Assembly constituency, 4,14,555 Enumeration Forms have been distributed among 4,22,317 registered voters. Of these, 2,27,950 completed forms have been received and digitised.

The civic administration has also made details of the special camp locations and BLOs available online to help voters locate their nearest submission centre.

“The deadline for submitting Enumeration Forms has been extended till August 17, and citizens should treat this as the final opportunity. Instead of waiting until the last day, voters should visit the special camps being organised this weekend and submit their forms to their respective BLOs to ensure their names remain on the electoral roll,” said Sunil Pawar, Additional District Election Officer and Additional Commissioner, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation.
