Navi Mumbai News: CIDCO Begins Land Allotment In Dronagiri After 18 Years, 319 Beneficiaries Get Intent Letter
This marks the first major allotment in Dronagiri since 2007, and follows a historic decision taken during CIDCO’s board meeting held on June 11, 2025, to conduct a lottery draw and proceed with land allotment.

In a significant move to fulfill long-pending demands of project-affected persons, CIDCO has distributed intent letters for land allotment to 319 eligible beneficiaries from Dronagiri Node in Uran taluka, under its 12.5% land scheme. The distribution took place in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at the Mantralaya in Mumbai.
This marks the first major allotment in Dronagiri since 2007, and follows a historic decision taken during CIDCO’s board meeting held on June 11, 2025, to conduct a lottery draw and proceed with land allotment.
CIDCO’s Vice Chairman and Managing Director Vijay Singhal, Principal Secretary Navin Sona, Co-Managing Director Ganesh Deshmukh, and Chief Land and Survey Officers Sandeep Nichit and Deepak Akde were present on the occasion, along with the beneficiaries.
According to officials, the allotment of these plots comes under the larger plan involving land acquisition across 95 villages in Thane, Navi Mumbai, Panvel, and Uran talukas, wherein CIDCO had committed to distributing developed land equal to 12.5% of the acquired land back to the original landowners.

Of these, 24 beneficiaries received their intent letters symbolically from Deputy CM Eknath Shinde during the event. The full allotment process is expected to proceed in a phased manner in the coming weeks.
The decision to restart allotments in Dronagiri Node was taken under the guidance of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who instructed CIDCO to resolve the pending claims of landowners in the region.
