Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Organises Cultural Cup Competitions For School Students

Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation’s (NMMC) Sports and Cultural Department organizes various competitions annually to showcase the talents of school students in the city. As part of the Cultural Cup, cultural competitions including dance, singing, short play, and street play contests were conducted.
The event was held on March 12, 2025, with the final rounds of the Street Play and Short Play competitions taking place at Vishnudas Bhave Auditorium in Vashi.
A total of 10 schools, selected from the preliminary round, participated in each category. "The street play competition was judged by renowned actors Arun Kadam and Anil Sutar, while the short play competition was evaluated by actor Vikas Patil," said an official.

The event was inaugurated in the presence of NMMC’s Deputy Commissioner for Sports and Cultural Affairs, Abhilasha Mhatre Patil, Municipal Secretary Chitra Bawiskar, and other dignitaries.
The final rounds of the Singing and Dance competitions were held on March 13, 2025. The singing contest was judged by noted music composer Rahul Ranade, while the dance competition was evaluated by renowned artist Nakul Ghanekar.
Following the final rounds, the Inter-School Cultural Cup Prize distribution took place.
