Navi Mumbai: Drug Racket Busted; Four Arrested, 252 Grams Of Mephedrone Seized
Rabale MIDC Police busted a drug racket in Navi Mumbai’s Digha, seizing 252 grams of MD worth ₹75 lakh. Four were arrested, while two suspects, including a woman named Shantabai, are still at large. Police also recovered packaging material and a weighing scale. A probe into the supply network is ongoing.

In a major anti-drug operation, the Rabale MIDC Police raided a residence in Ishwar Nagar, Digha on Sunday morning and seized 252 grams of Mephedrone (MD) powder, valued at around ₹75 lakh.
Acting on a tip-off about illegal drug activity involving a woman named Shantabai and her son-in-law, a police team comprising three officers and 20 male and female constables conducted the raid at 8 am.
During the search, the police recovered MD powder, a weighing scale and 250 plastic packets commonly used for packaging narcotics.
Four individuals were arrested and taken to the Rabale MIDC Police Station. The arrested include Nilesh Basanna Naik, Shailesh Basanna Naik, Usha Roshan Naik and Jyoti Nilesh Naik. All are residents of Airoli, Navi Mumbai.

Police sources told Mid Day that several of the accused have prior records under the NDPS Act and have been booked by Rabale, Rabale MIDC, and Pantnagar police stations in earlier cases.
An official stated that further investigation is underway to trace the drug supply chain and locate the absconding suspects.
