Navi Mumbai: To promote self-employment opportunities, District Collector Kishan Jawale distributed rickshaws and machinery to beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Program and the Seed Capital Loan Scheme.
The event took place at the District Collector’s office and was organized by the District Industries Center (DIC), Raigad, as part of the state government’s initiative to support unemployed youth.
The distribution program was attended by Deputy Collector (General Administration) Dr. Ravindra Shelke, Regional Transport Officer, Lead District Bank Manager (Bank of India) Vijaykumar Kulkarni, and DIC General Manager G.S. Haralya, along with officials from various banks and industrial centers.
A total of 755 applications were received by DIC Raigad, out of which 744 cases were approved by banks. The effective planning and guidance ensured the successful completion of the objectives, including 100% fulfillment of the Seed Capital Loan Scheme, stated a statement released by Raigad District Information Officer (DIO).
Under the initiative, beneficiaries such as Virendra Devram Tike, Vaibhav Namdev Jite, and Pandurang Rama Jainakhva from Alibag received financial assistance for auto-rickshaw businesses through loans sanctioned by the State Bank of India and Bank of Maharashtra, Alibag branch.
