Nashik: In a tragic accident near the Agriculture Produce Market Committee in Dindori town, seven people, three men, three women, and a two-year-old boy, lost their lives when their car veered off Nashik-Vani Road and plunged into a water-filled trench around 12:30 am on Thursday.
According to Balasaheb Patil, the Nashik Rural Superintendent of Police, all seven passengers died on the spot. "Two friends and their family members were returning from Nashik after celebrating a relative's birthday when the accident occurred. After the front right tyre burst, the driver lost control of the car, which collided with a motorcycle approaching from the opposite direction before tumbling into the water-filled trench, " as reported by The Times Of India.
The deceased were residents of Dindori taluka in Nashik and have been identified as Devidas Gangurde (28), Manisha Gangurde (23), and Bhavesh Gangurde (2) from Sarsale village; Uttam Jadhav (42) and Alka Jadhav (38) from Koshimbe village; and Dattatray Waghmare (45) and Anusaya Waghmare (40) from Deopur.

Two men riding the motorcycle, Mangesh Kurghade (25) and Ajay Gonde (18) from Jawhar taluka, Palghar district, were returning to Satpur in Nashik city when they were hit by the car. Both sustained injuries and have been admitted to the Civil Hospital.
The SP added that some of the victims exhibited injury marks, primarily resulting from the impact of the car hitting the ground. The vehicle’s overturning allowed water to enter rapidly, eliminating any chance of survival.
A passer-by who noticed the car's lights off the road followed the trail and discovered the accident. He immediately called emergency services at 112. The police and ambulance team responded promptly. The injured motorcyclists were rushed to the hospital, and all seven bodies were recovered from the vehicle.
