Mumbra Minor Rape-Murder Case: Minister Yogesh Kadam Assures Fast-Track Trial, Strict Action Against Accused

Mumbai: Minister of State for Home Affairs Yogesh Kadam assured that strict action will be taken against the accused involved in the shocking incident of rape and brutal murder of a minor girl in Mumbra.

Speaking during the Question Hour in the State Assembly, Minister Kadam said the case will be tried in a fast-track court to ensure swift justice for the victim. The issue was raised by MLA Devyani Pharande.

Replying to her, Minister Kadam informed the House that the accused has already been arrested and a chargesheet has been filed in the competent court. The accused is currently in judicial custody. He also stated that necessary instructions have been issued to the concerned agencies to ensure timely receipt of the forensic report.
