A woman killed her husband with the help of boyfriend and his two friends in Goregaon in hopes of marrying her boyfriend. Dindoshi police arrested woman and one accomplice while the boyfriend is on run with another suspect.

Mumbai: Mumbai police arrested a woman and one of her accomplice who assisted her in murder of her husband at their Goregaon residence on March 19. The woman murdered her husband with the help of a man thought to be her boyfriend and his two friends. The boyfriend is on a run with a friend. The police are actively in search for the other two other suspects.
Dindoshi police authorities stated that the case was solved within six hours of the case first appeared. As per the Dindoshi police, Ranju Chauhan, 28, who lives in Banjari Pada in Goregaon (East), supposedly plotted with her boyfriend to murder her husband Chandrashekhar Chauhan, 35, in order to remarry.

The second suspect who was arrested has been recognized as Moinuddin Latif Khan, age 20. Both individuals have been detained on charges of murder and conspiracy to commit a crime. An effort is underway to find the other two men.
Authorities reported that Chandrashekhar, employed on film sets, was discovered unresponsive at his residence on Saturday morning. He was transported to Trauma Care Hospital, where doctors declared him deceased.

The Dindoshi police logged an accidental death report on Saturday after Ranju informed officers that her husband appeared well the night before and went to bed, but was unresponsive when she checked on him at 5 am. The police conducted an investigation and reviewed her call logs, revealing Ranju’s deceit.
Officials reported that a group headed by Ajay Afale, Senior Police Inspector of Dindoshi, solved the case with the support of Smita Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone 12. Interestingly, the police did not receive the post-mortem report quickly in the case, yet they were able to solve it through technical investigation.
According to reports by The Indian Express, “She initially told the police that she went to sleep at around 1:30 am, but her phone records revealed that she made phone calls to someone after that. On examining the call details of the other number, it emerged that constant calls were made from it to two more people. Based on this lead, the woman was detained and subjected to sustained interrogation during which she admitted to getting Chandrashekhar killed with the help of her boyfriend and his two friends,” a police officer associated with the probe stated.
“The three men strangulated Chandrashekhar as he slept. The woman was present during the crime. She even made preparations for the murder and had arranged sticks and other articles as a back-up plan,” the officer further added.
