Mumbai: Western Railway to Renumber All Passenger Trains Starting January 1, 2025
It has now been decided that all WR owned passenger trains will be renumbered as regular train number instead of existing ‘0’ numbering system and with fares as applicable for the concerned classes of travel and type of train.

During the Covid-19 pandemic when trains were being restored in phased manner all passenger trains of Western Railway were being operated as Special Covid trains.
It has now been decided that all WR owned passenger trains will be renumbered as regular train number instead of existing ‘0’ numbering system and with fares as applicable for the concerned classes of travel and type of train.

It may be noted that the change will come into force from Journey Commencing On 01st January, 2025. Details of the same are available on www.wr.indianrailways.gov.in.
