A 72-year-old man was killed after being hit by a speeding motorcycle in Mahim West on Friday night. The deceased has been identified as Abdul Rahim Ghulam Hussain Surti, a resident of Mahim.
According to the Mahim Police, the accident occurred around 8:15 PM on May 17, when Surti was walking towards Fardeen Mansion. A speeding two-wheeler, allegedly being driven rashly by Faizan Faizul Shaikh, hit the pedestrian from behind, causing him severe injuries.

Surti was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. The accused rider has been arrested, and a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Motor Vehicles Act. Further investigation is underway.
