Mumbai Police have deployed over 300 personnel at Chaityabhoomi in Shivaji Park ahead of the 135th Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti on Tuesday. Joint CP Satyanarayan Chaudhari said one Additional CP and four DCPs will oversee security, with crowd management measures and enhanced surveillance in place to handle the expected surge of devotees.

Mumbai: In view of the massive turnout expected at Chaityabhoomi in Shivaji Park on the occasion of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s 135th Jayanti, the Mumbai Police have put in place elaborate security and traffic arrangements across central Mumbai.
Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Satyanarayan Chaudhari stated that one Additional Commissioner of Police, four Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs), and more than 300 police personnel will be deployed in the Shivaji Park area to maintain law and order and ensure smooth crowd management.
Police officials have also increased surveillance and implemented special crowd control measures to handle the large influx of followers visiting the memorial.Meanwhile, the Traffic Police have issued a detailed advisory, announcing vehicular restrictions from 11 am on Monday till midnight on Tuesday in view of the heavy footfall.
Traffic Diversions and Road Closures:
SK Bole Road will be one-way from Siddhivinayak Temple Junction to Portuguese Church.
SVS Road from Siddhivinayak Temple Junction to Yes Bank Junction will remain closed for all vehicular traffic, except for local residents via Road No. 5.
Ranade Road will be completely closed for traffic.
Dnyaneshwar Mandir Road will remain closed from its junction at SVS Road up to Dadar Chowpatty.
All heavy and goods vehicles, including tempos (except BEST buses), will be diverted from Mahim Junction via LJ Road.
