Mumbai News: Pipe Burst Shoots Water More Than 70 Ft Into The Air In Andheri's Oshiwara, Watch Dramatic Visuals

A water pipeline in Andheri’s Oshiwara burst on Wednesday, resulting in waste of litres of water. A video of the incident has been making rounds on social media.
The incident happened nearing 3 pm opposite Infinity Mall, according to the CP Control room. The pipeline burst lead to lakhs of litres of water going to waste.
The dramatic video of the pipeline burst showed water gushing around the residential buildings which appeared to be over 70 feet high. The water shooting up landed on the terrace of the buildings.
The area around Infinity Mall was flooded because of incident. People could be seen maneuvering their way through the flood.

Upon receiving information, the K west ward officer of the hydraulic department promptly arrived at the scene to address the situation and commence pipeline repairs. The officials and staff swiftly shut down the water supply in an effort to conserve water. After conducting a thorough analysis, the repair work on the pipeline commenced and continued late into the night. As a result of the ongoing repairs, water supply to areas including Andheri Lokhandwala, Millat Nagar, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Nagar, and Mhada has been affected, according to BMC.
The incident took place on Adarsh Nagar Road, situated in front of Twinkle Apartment. The BMC has appealed to citizens for their cooperation and apologises for any inconvenience caused.
