Mumbai: Train services on the Central Railway’s Kalyan-Kasara section were disrupted on Thursday due to strong winds, causing inconvenience to commuters.
According to sources, a foreign object got entangled in the overhead wire between Atgaon and Thansit stations, likely carried by gusty winds. This resulted in a brief suspension of train movement on the affected stretch.
One suburban local train experienced a delay of approximately 15 minutes, while an express train was halted for around 8 minutes before services were gradually restored.
After receiving the information, the concerned official reached the site and removed the obstruction, resuming operations. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and have urged commuters to stay updated through official channels.
