He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival. Bhandup Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to identify and arrest the accused.

Multiple stab wounds
According to the police, the incident occurred at around 7:30 pm, when unidentified assailants allegedly attacked Kalli and stabbed him multiple times, reportedly 22 blows, before fleeing the scene. The brutal attack caused panic and tension in the locality.
At the time of the incident, Kalli was allegedly accompanied by his friend Saurabh Ahire, a resident of Milind Nagar. Local residents rushed the severely injured Kalli to Navkar Hospital, from where he was later shifted to Rajawadi Hospital. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Police begin probe
The Bhandup police reached the crime scene soon after the incident and took Saurabh Ahire to the police station to record his statement. Police officials stated that the process of registering a case is underway and further investigation is in progress.
Preliminary information suggests that the murder may be linked to a previous dispute, though the exact motive is yet to be confirmed. Police are examining CCTV footage and questioning possible suspects as part of the ongoing probe.
