A minor fire broke out in the store area of Bandra Terminus Coaching Depot at around 10:35 PM on Saturday.
According to WR, prompt action by the fire brigade and depot staff ensured that the blaze was brought under control within minutes, with no casualties or disruption to train operations. According to Western Railway officials, three fire tenders reached the site by 10:40 PM and, along with railway staff, successfully extinguished the fire. Clarifying misinformation circulating online, a Western Railway official stated, “The store area is located just below the foot overbridge (FOB). Some pictures and videos give the misleading impression that the FOB was on fire, which is false.”Railway authorities are investigating the cause of the fire while ensuring all safety measures remain intact
