Mumbai: Man Threatening To Blow Up Chembur Police Station Held In Goa
On Monday at 4pm, a hoax call was received on the Bandra Railway Police station’s landline from a mobile phone, threatening that the Chembur station would be blown up.

The Bandra Railway Police on Tuesday travelled to Goa and arrested a man accused of threatening to blow up the Chembur Police Station.
On Monday at 4pm, a hoax call was received on the Bandra Railway Police station’s landline from a mobile phone, threatening that the Chembur station would be blown up.
According to the police, the caller’s number was traced to Goa. The accused, a 40-year-old labourer, had been drunk when he made the call. He hails from Kolhapur and has been living in Goa with his family for the past four years.
After receiving the call, the bomb detection squad launched a search operation at Chembur station but found nothing.
On Monday, an FIR was registered by the Bandra GRP. The case was filed under sections 217, 353, and 351(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
