Mumbai: Lamborghini Catches Fire On Coastal Road; Industrialist Gautam Singhania Shares VIDEO, Raises Safety Concerns

Mumbai: A Lamborghini car caught fire on the Mumbai Coastal Road on Wednesday night. "The incident took near the Breach Candy signal of the Coastal Road. The incident was reported to the Mumbai Fire Brigade at 10.20 pm and the fire was extinguished at 10.59 pm. No injuries were reported in the incident," officials said. The cause of the fire was not known.

The video of the Lamborghini engulfed in the blaze was posted by industrialist and chairman of Raymond Group Gautam Singhania on his Instagram account. Tagging Mumbai Police, Singhania in his post said, "Spotted by me: A lamborghini engulfed in flames on Coastal Road, Mumbai. Incidents like this raise serious questions on reliability and safety standards of Lamborghini. For the price and reputation one expects uncompromising quality- not potential hazards."

This the second time in the recent past when the industrial raised questions over Lamborghini. It was in October 2024 when Gautam Singhania alleged that Lamborghini’s latest V12 flagship– the Revuelto– is prone to electrical issues as a model he was test driving broke down on Mumbai Atal Setu.
