Mumbai: The Mumbai Crime Intelligence Unit has made another significant arrest in the fake visa and passport racket used to illegally send people abroad. The latest accused, identified as R.P. Singh, is an employee of Vietnam Airlines, working in the arrivals and departures department.
During the investigation, the Crime Branch found that Singh helped individuals clear immigration checks, particularly those facing difficulties during verification. He allegedly assisted most of the 80 individuals who were illegally sent abroad using fake visas and passports.

Officials revealed that Singh was in direct contact with the main accused, Ajit Puri. To maintain secrecy, Puri had provided him with a separate mobile phone, which Singh used for communication and coordinating the illegal departures.
Singh was produced before the Esplanade Court on Friday, where he was remanded to police custody until March 19. This marks the sixth arrest in the case, and the Crime Branch expects further major revelations during Singh’s interrogation.
