Mumbai: A fatal road accident on the Eastern Express Highway claimed the life of a senior officer of Gnyandeep Patsanstha after he succumbed to injuries during treatment nearly three weeks after the incident. Based on the complaint filed by an 18-year-old student, the Mumbai Police have registered a case against the driver of a four-wheeler at Vikhroli Police Station.
According to the complaint, Srikant Vijay Shinde (18), a resident of Kalbadevi and a first-year digital marketing student, had accompanied Sunil Shivaji Pisal, a senior officer at Gnyandeep Patsanstha, to attend the institution’s convention at Mulund East on April 29, 2026. Since Shinde’s mother, who also works at the patsanstha, was unwell, he attended the event in her place.
