Mumbai: Drunk Man Found Sleeping On Tracks At CST Station - Watch Viral Video
A video from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai shows a man, allegedly drunk, sleeping on railway tracks under a white bedsheet as a train approached Platform 1 around 3:30 pm. Commuters shouted while the train slowed and honked repeatedly. A case was registered against him under Section 145 of the Railways Act.

Mumbai: A video of a man sleeping on the railway track at CSMT station in Mumbai has gone viral. The man was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and was seen lying on the tracks covered with a white bedsheet. In the viral video, commuters can be heard shouting in an attempt to wake him up as the train apprached at CST station.
In the video shared by Jai Maharashtra News, the train is seen approaching Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CST) station. As it nears the platform, the train slows down and repeatedly honks in an attempt to wake the allegedly drunk man on the tracks.

Central Railway CPRO Swapnil Nila confirmed that around 3:30 pm, a man was found lying on the tracks near Platform 1 at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. While speaking to news agency IANS, it said that a local train from Panvel was stopped to save him, and he was safely brought onto the platform. Action is being taken under Section 147 of the Railway Act for trespassing and obstructing railway operations.
"To save the individual, a local train coming from Panvel was stopped at a safe distance. The person was then brought onto the platform safely, and railway operations continued smoothly. Action is being taken against the individual under Section 147 of the Railway Act for attempting to trespass and obstructing railway operations," Nila said as quoted by IANS.

Meanwhile, earlier on Febraury 15, a 38-year-old businessman from Chembur was booked for drunk driving after he allegedly rammed his speeding car into another vehicle and caused a traffic snarl in Tilak Nagar. According to the Tilak Nagar police, the accused, Harshit Bharat Daulat, 38, a resident of Jeevandeep Society in Tilak Nagar, was driving under the influence of alcohol when the incident occurred around 9 pm near Sahakar Junction in Chembur (West).
In January this year, a 43-year-old man was caught lying on a railway track in Gwalior after consuming alcohol. He was apparently fed up with his family and wanted to kill himself, but RPF officers' timely intervention saved his life.
