Mumbai Crime: Versova Police Arrests 34-Year-Old Nigerian Woman With Cocaine Worth ₹1.42 Crore In Anti-Drug Operation
The Versova police arrested a Nigerian woman for allegedly possessing cocaine worth Rs 1.42 crore. The police conducted an all-out operation on June 30 at Old MHADA, Andheri West, where they noticed a woman acting suspiciously and arrested her. The accused has been identified as Yenna Christina Idowha, 34, who resides in Noida, New Delhi.

Mumbai: The Versova police arrested a Nigerian woman for allegedly possessing cocaine worth Rs 1.42 crore. The police conducted an all-out operation on June 30 at Old MHADA, Andheri West, where they noticed a woman acting suspiciously and arrested her. The accused has been identified as Yenna Christina Idowha, 34, who resides in Noida, New Delhi.
According to the police, on June 30 at around 3 am, the Versova police’s Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) was conducting an all-out operation. During the operation, the police saw a woman roaming suspiciously in Old MHADA, Andheri West. On suspicion, the police searched the woman’s bag in the presence of a female police officer and recovered 30 capsules containing a total of 418 grams of cocaine.

Senior Police Inspector Gajanan Pawar said that during interrogation, the woman identified herself as Yenna Christina Idowha, originally a resident of Ondo, Nigeria, and currently living in Noida, New Delhi. The police are now investigating the matter thoroughly to find out whom the accused was supposed to deliver the drugs to and where she procured them from, in order to trace the entire drug network.
