The police said the child’s mother had married the second time and the accused is her husband’s friend. On the night of March 21-22, the victim was visiting his grandparents in Iraniwadi, on the western side. The accused, on a bicycle, is said to have abducted the boy when he was sleeping next to his grandmother on the pavement as their shanty had been demolished.

Mumbai: A four-year-old boy was kidnapped and strangled to death in Kandivali West. A manhunt has been launched for the accused, who has been identified through CCTV footage. The child’s parents reside in the eastern side of the suburb.
About The Case
The police said the child’s mother had married the second time and the accused is her husband’s friend. On the night of March 21-22, the victim was visiting his grandparents in Iraniwadi, on the western side. The accused, on a bicycle, is said to have abducted the boy when he was sleeping next to his grandmother on the pavement as their shanty had been demolished.
The accused came back 30 minutes later and dumped the body of the child 30mt away from the dwelling. The CCTV footage has captured clear images of the suspect. Multiple teams have been deployed to track down the accused.
