Mumbai: ₹12 Lakh In Valuables Stolen In Burglary At KEM Hospital Senior Doctor’s Residence

A shocking burglary has been reported at the residence of a senior doctor from KEM Hospital in Parel. Unidentified thieves broke into the house and stole valuables worth ₹12 lakh while the family was away. Following a complaint by Dr. Rahul Kumar Ramchandra Gupta (46), the Bhoiwada police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
Dr. Gupta, a doctor and professor at KEM Hospital, resides with his family within the hospital premises. According to the police, the burglary occurred on the morning of January 13, while Dr. Gupta, his wife, and their children were away at work and school. The intruders broke the lock on the front door using a sharp object to gain entry.

Around 3 p.m., Dr. Gupta’s wife called him, asking him to return home. Upon arrival, he discovered the broken lock and found the house in complete disarray. Upon further inspection, the family realized that cash, gold jewelry, and U.S. dollars had been stolen.
The Bhoiwada police have registered a case against unidentified individuals and are analyzing CCTV footage from the surrounding area to identify the culprits. The investigation is currently underway.
