MUmbai: In preparation for the annual Ashadhi Wari pilgrimage, the Maharashtra government has announced a comprehensive support plan for Warkaris, including group insurance coverage and enhanced medical and infrastructure facilities.

The government will also ensure adequate water supply, electricity connections and waterproof tents at Palkhi halts. As in previous years, toll concessions will be given to vehicles ferrying Warkaris.
