Based on specific intelligence that a Brazilian National would be attempting to smuggle narcotics into India, officers of DRI Mumbai intercepted a female passenger who had arrived in Mumbai from Sao Paulo.
About The Case
On questioning, she admitted to ingesting capsules containing narcotic drugs for smuggling into India, following which she was admitted into a nearby government hospital where she purged 100 capsules containing 1096 grams of cocaine, valued at Rs 10.96 Crores in the illicit market.
