Mumbai: As the city hawls in celebration of Dahi Handi, the traffic police of Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai have issued advisories for smoother function and reducing traffic congestion due to the festivities. Check out traffic advisory below for August 16.
Dahi Handi 2025: Traffic Advisory for Thane
Traffic will be impacted on multiple roads due to the Dahi Handi festivities. Access will be restricted on major roads, including sections of Kolset Road, Ram Maruti Road, Pipeline Road, and pathways originating from Balkum Naka, Dadlani Chowk, and Yashaswinagar. Clear signage will indicate alternative routes for commuters. As per the officials, the Dahi Handi event is expected to draw 40,000–50,000 devotees along with notable political party leaders.
Dahi Handi 2025: Navi Mumbai Traffic Advisory
Simultaneously, the Navi Mumbai traffic police have released a traffic advisory and a no-parking directive in Kharghar from August 15 to 17 because of the Krishna Janmashtami festivities at the ISKCON Temple in Sector 23.
