Bombay HC And Mumbai Local Courts Receive Bomb Threat Emails, Found To Be Hoax
The Bombay High Court and Esplanade Court received a brief threat email on Friday afternoon, triggering security checks. Police later declared the message a hoax, with no suspicious material found. An NC offence will be registered and the cyber cell is tracing the email’s source.

Mumbai, Jan 16: A sensitive email created panic on Friday afternoon after it was received by both the Bombay High Court and Esplanade Court. According to DCP Zone 1 Pravin Munde, who spoke to The Free Press Journal, the email arrived between 2 pm and 2.30 pm.
Police verification
Munde confirmed that the email contained only two to three lines and, after verification, was found to be a hoax message. “The email did not contain any credible threat. However, as per protocol, necessary checks were conducted. A non-cognisable (NC) offence will be registered at Azad Maidan Police Station,” Munde told FPJ.
