Mumbai: Mumbai is experiencing a rise in mosquitoes, particularly in suburban areas like Arey Milk Colony and Goregaon (East). Residents near the colony facing are difficulties due to the sudden rise of mosquitoes, where the Culex mosquito issue is a major concern and could continue until March.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is addressing the problem by cleaning stormwater drains and nullahs, but according to reports from Mumbai Live, residents are still struggling with the mosquito issue despite these efforts.
People living in high-rise buildings, near Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road are especially affected by this, often having to keep their windows shut because of the mosquitoes.
While the BMC has been spraying and fogging, residents are encouraged to take additional precautions, such as cleaning stormwater drains and maintaining cleanliness at home as stagnant water and poor hygiene attract mosquitoes.
