ACC Approves One-Year Extension For Railway Board Chairman & CEO Satish Kumar
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved a one-year extension for Satish Kumar as Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board. The retired 1986-batch Indian Railway Management Service officer will continue in the role from September 1, 2026, on existing terms and conditions, or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.

Mumbai: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a one-year extension for Shri Satish Kumar, Chairman & CEO of the Railway Board. A retired 1986-batch IRMS officer, he will continue in the post on a contractual re-employment basis from September 1, 2026, on existing terms and conditions, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
