Seeking a faster resolution, they approached the Bombay High Court, which, considering Chahal’s IPL commitments, granted them an exemption and expedited the proceedings. The divorce was finalised on March 20, 2025.

As part of the divorce settlement, Chahal agreed to pay ₹4.75 crore as alimony to Dhanashree. Reports indicate that half of the amount has already been paid, with the remainder to be settled in installments as per their agreement.

Speculation and social media buzz

During their separation, multiple rumors about the reasons behind their split surfaced online. Adding to the speculation, radio jockey and social media influencer RJ Mahvash, rumored to be close to Chahal, posted cryptic messages on social media, further fueling gossip. Despite the ongoing buzz, both Chahal and Verma have remained silent about their personal matters and chosen not to engage in the media frenzy.
