Padma Shri Dr. Mukesh Batra Sings To Support Old Age Home Promoting A Better Future For The Elderly
Dr. Mukesh Batra organised the 13th Yaadon Ki Bahaar singing concert, to help elderly widows from The Shepherd Widows’ Home
India is home to nearly one million senior living facilities, many of which lack essential amenities. This number is expected to rise to 2.5 million in the coming decade. The elderly population, comprising individuals aged 60 and above, is currently around 157 million and is anticipated to reach 347 million by 2050, further intensifying the challenges. At present, approximately 18 million senior citizens in the country are homeless.
In an effort to bridge the significant gap in elderly care, Padma Shri Dr. Mukesh Batra organised the 13th Yaadon Ki Bahaar singing concert, to help elderly widows from The Shepherd Widows’ Home.
Commenting on the initiative, Padma Shri Dr. Mukesh Batra, Chairman and Founder of Dr. Batra's Group of Companies said, “I strongly believe in embracing the elderly within the comfort of our homes, and the idea of adopting a grandparent is one whose time has truly arrived. I take pride in supporting numerous senior care homes across the country to enhance the lives of our older generation. Let us unite to build a society where kindness and care have no limits.”
Dr. Batra's Positive Health Foundation recently hosted the 13th edition of its yearly singing concert, Yaadon Ki Bahaar at the YB Chavan Auditorium at Nariman Point, Mumbai. The concert featured a mix of old songs performed by Padma Shri Dr. Mukesh Batra, who is also the Chairman and Founder of Dr. Batra's® Group of Companies.
