Born in Argentina in 1994, Georgina faced hardships after losing her mother and supporting her family with jobs from waitressing to retail.

After nine years of dating, Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez are officially engaged. The football icon popped the question with a dazzling 35-carat diamond ring, and Georgina shared the news with her millions of Instagram followers, writing, “Sí, quiero. En esta y en todas mis vidas” (“Yes, I do. In this life and in all my lives”).
But if you think her life has always been filled with glamour, think again. Georgina's story is one of sacrifices, resilience, and transformation.
Georgina Rodriguez's struggling journey
Born on January 27, 1994, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to an Argentine father and Spanish mother, Georgina spent her early years in Jaca, Spain, near the French border. Life wasn’t easy; she lost her mother in a tragic car accident as a teenager, while her father’s repeated prison terms left her to shoulder heavy responsibilities.
A trained ballet dancer, Georgina set aside her passion to help her family, taking jobs as a waitress in Jaca and later as a nanny in Bristol, England, earning just £125 a week. At 18, she moved to Madrid, juggling retail work during the day and bar shifts at night to make ends meet.
Her life changed forever when she joined Gucci as a sales assistant, where she first met Cristiano Ronaldo in 2016. Their romance soon made headlines, and the couple went public at the Best FIFA Football Awards in 2017.
Since then, Georgina has blossomed into a global fashion figure. She’s modelled for some of the biggest magazines and launched her own athleisure brand. She even starred in the Netflix docuseries I Am Georgina, which gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at her luxurious yet grounded life.
