In a shocking incident that left Bollywood in disbelief, actor Saif Ali Khan sustained severe injuries after confronting an intruder at his Bandra home late last night. The attempted burglary has sparked widespread concern.

Sources revealed that Saif fought the intruder unarmed to protect his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and their two young sons, Taimur (8) and Jeh (4). The incident occurred in the middle of the night, and Saif sustained multiple injuries during the struggle.

Actor admitted to Lilavati Hospital

Saif Ali Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital around 3:30 a.m. after sustaining six stab wounds, two of which were deep. One wound was dangerously close to his spine, prompting immediate surgical intervention.

Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, stated, “Saif has six stabs, and two are deep. One is close to the spine. He is being operated upon by a team of doctors led by neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leena Jain, and anesthesiologist Dr. Nisha Gandhi.”

Police investigations underway

The Mumbai police have detained three individuals working at Saif’s residence for questioning. A senior IPS officer confirmed that the crime branch is conducting a parallel investigation to uncover more details about the attack.

Mumbai Police confirmed the sequence of events. "An unknown person entered actor Saif Ali Khan’s residence and argued with his maid late last night. When the actor tried to intervene and pacify the man, he attacked Saif Ali Khan and injured him. Police are investigating the matter," they said in an official statement to ANI.

The incident comes shortly after Saif and Kareena returned to Mumbai following a New Year’s vacation in Switzerland with their children. The family resides in the Satguru Sharan building in Bandra West.
