MP Firojiya also checked the quality of the mid-day meal served to the students. According to the day’s menu, the children were supposed to get daal (lentils), potato curry, and roti.
However, on tasting the food, the MP found that the dal lacked actual lentils, the curry had no visible potatoes, and the rotis were of very poor quality.
He said the food tasted like plain salted water with roti and expressed strong dissatisfaction. He immediately called the District Panchayat CEO and ordered strict action against the organisation responsible for supplying the meals.
