Ujjain: Body of minor girl found in her own house, rape-cum-murder suspected

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Sensation spread in Bhatpachalana area of the district on the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday following the recovery of a body of a 13-year-old girl who was missing since morning from her maternal grandfatherís home. Blood was coming out of the minorís mouth. It is suspected that she was raped and later strangulated to death.
A 13-year-old living in her maternal grandmother's home at village Khedawada of Bhatpachalana police station suddenly went missing from home at 9 am on Saturday. When the incident occurred, the maternal grandmother had gone to the temple and the maternal grandfather had gone to a tea shop and the girl was alone in the house. After some time when the grandmother came back, the girl was missing. A search of the whole village did not yield any result, so in the evening the maternal grandparents lodged a missing complaint at the police station.
The police started the investigation by registering a case of kidnapping. Meanwhile, the maternal grandmother saw the blood-stained body of her granddaughter in a room of the house. The police were immediately informed. TI Sanjay Verma reached the spot. Prima facie, there is a possibility of rape of the minor.
At around 1 pm, FSL officer Dr Preeti Gaikwad, figure print expert and the cyber team also reached the spot. It is suspected that the incident was carried out by some acquaintance. Police are collecting information from the parents and relatives of the girl. SP Satyendra Kumar Shukla, ASP Akash Bhuria, SDOP Khachrod Pushpa Prajapati and SDOP Barnagar Ravindra Boyat also reached the spot and inspected the spot on Sunday morning.
