Kasrawad (Madhya Pradesh): Kasrawad is taking significant steps to improve safety by installing 16 CCTV cameras at every intersection. The local police launched this initiative on Tuesday, and it aims to reduce crime and monitor activities throughout the city.
Cameras are being installed in various neighbourhoods, including Arihant Nagar, Gangaur Bagh Colony, Harsiddhidham Colony, Dadawadi, and Angoorbagh Colony.
The project is being supported by local residents and businesses, and cameras are also placed at shops, hotels, petrol stations, and key entry points into the city.
For effective monitoring, a control room has been set up. TI Rajendra Burman will personally oversee the operations from this control room, with police personnel assigned to monitor the feeds.
This setup is designed to respond quickly to any incidents and maintain peace in the community. The presence of cameras is expected to deter potential criminals, as they will be aware that their actions are being recorded.
Local leaders, including BJP representatives and business owners, have expressed their support for the initiative. They believe that the installation of cameras will instil fear in wrongdoers and help in gathering evidence if crimes occur. Businessman Dilip Patidar noted that rising theft incidents have led to increased awareness among residents.
