Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The 10km Mini Marathon in Indore, organised by The Free Press Journal on Sunday, received an overwhelming response from the people of Indore.
At least 2000 people participated in the mini-marathon that started from Indore's Free Press Office to Shivaji Vatika and back.
The event highlighted the importance of water conservation as average maximum temperature continues to rise across the country.

The event was backed up by sponsors like Omaxe and Petronet LNG, along with DCBM, Vishishth School of Management, The Crush Coffee, and Moyra TMT. The event also received a massive support from over 100 NGOs and the Super Chargers, a team of marathon enthusiasts from Indore.
Minister of Water Resources Of Madhya Pradesh Mr. Tulsiram Silawat along with Mr. Praveen Verma, General Manager of Omaxe Ltd. Indore flagged off the marathon.
The marathon kicked off at 6:45am from the Free Press Journal situated on the AB Road where participants reached Shivaji Vatika to complete the run of 10kilometre.
Alongside the main marathon route, a special route of 5kms was introduced exclusively to ensure the participation of senior citizens. This initiative was much appreciated in the event.
Cash Prize and Hampers
After the completion of the run, winners and runners-up in both-- men and women categories, were acknowledged by Minister of Water Resources Of Madhya Pradesh Mr. Tulsiram Silawat with the cash prize.
Besides, 10 runners were acknowledged with consolation gift hampers provided by Patanjali.

3. Pushpa Vishwakarma won 5,000 cash prize
Men's Category
1. Dheeraj Yadav won Rs 11,000 cash prize
2. Yash Sharma won Rs 7,000 cash prize
3. Naveen Chauhan won Rs 5,000 cash prize
Similarly, a 5km short-run for senior citizens was also organised from Free Press office to Industry Park on AB Road.
