Congress sammelan in July first week, Kamal Nath road show on July 9

Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh): BJP will hold “Nagar Vijay Sammelan” on Wednesday and Thursday so as to ensure its victory in the Ratlam Municipal Corporation. Talking to media persons here, Ratlam city MLA Chetanya Kashyap and district BJP president Rajendra Singh Lunera informed that in the sammelan, information will be given about the welfare schemes of the state and Central governments and the development works that have taken place.

MLA Kashyap claimed that plan of Rs 125 crore has been prepared for the reconstruction of the roads which have been damaged due to sewerage works in the city. He said that roads worth Rs 20 crore have been constructed so far.

Kashyap also claimed that a ring road will also come up in the city which will reduce traffic pressure on the existing roads. An investment zone will come up near Ratlam and said that the eight-lane Expressway connecting Mumbai to Delhi is passing through the district.

He said that development is the main issue in the civic polls and alleged that during Congress rule in the state led by Kamal Nath development works were badly affected in the city. He said that now development works were taking place at a great speed in the city.

City Congress president Mahendra Kataria said that in the first week of July Congress will hold a sammelan and on July 9 a road show of former chief minister Kamalnath will be held.

Meanwhile, the hectic poll campaign on the part of BJP and Congress Mayoral candidates for the Ratlam Municipal Corporation has been further intensified. Door-to-door contacts with the electorate is taking place on the part of Congress mayoral candidate Mayank Jat and BJP mayoral candidate Prahalad Patel.
